Inserting the User's Address

This tip applies to Word 97, 2000, 2002, and 2003

Word automatically maintains several items of information about you, as a user. One such item is your address, which is changed on the User Information tab of the Options dialog box. If you want to automatically insert the user address in your documents, you can follow these steps:

Position the insertion point where you want the user address inserted.
Choose Field from the Insert menu. You will see the Field dialog box.
In the Categories drop-down list, choose User Information. (See Figure 1.)

In the Field Names list choose UserAddress.
Click on OK to close the dialog box and insert your field.
