You may already know how to create an envelope and add it to your document—for instance, if you are writing a letter and you create the envelope so it is saved in a file with the letter. Word allows you to quickly and easily print an envelope directly to your printer, if you so desire. You do this by following these steps:

  1. Load your letter document.
  2. Display the Envelopes and Labels dialog box. You do this in Word 97 and Word 2000 by choosing Tools | Envelopes and Labels. You do this in Word 2002 and Word 2003 by choosing Tools | Letters and Mailings | Envelopes and Labels.
  3. Make sure the Envelopes tab is selected. (See Figure 1.)
  4. Figure 1. The Envelopes tab of the Envelopes and Labels dialog box.

  5. Make any changes desired in the delivery or return addresses.
  6. Insert an envelope in the manual feed tray of your printer.
  7. Click on Print. The envelope is sent to your printer, and nothing is added to your document.

This still doesn't help. I DON'T WANT a document added to my envelope! Every time I print an envelope, Word want to spit out a blank page and the printer complains there's no paper. That's because I just want to print envelopes and I don't have regular paper in it. Why is this so hard to find the information I'm looking for?????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
