Multiple Pages Per Sheet

This tip applies to Word 2000, 2002, and 2003

Word includes a nifty feature that allows you to print multiple pages on a single sheet of paper. For instance, you can take two pages of your document and print them on a single side of a piece of paper. Word allows you to print 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, or 16 actual pages per printed page. This can save quite a bit of paper, but it can make reading the output more difficult.

To control this setting, follow these steps:

Load the document you want to print.
Choose the Print option from the File menu. Word displays the Print dialog box. (See Figure 1.)

Use the Pages Per Sheet drop-down list (lower-right corner) to specify how many pages should be combined on each printed page.
Specify any other printing options, as desired.
Click on OK to print your document.
