This tip applies to Word 97, 2000, 2002, and 2003
Word allows you to control how the endnotes in your document are numbered. Normally, numbering begins at one and progresses upward. You can change both the starting number and how numbering restarts by following these steps if you are using Word 97 or Word 2000:
If you are using a later version of Word, the process is a bit different. Follow these steps instead:

I made the changes in the numbering and font style of the endnotes, but at the actual endnote, the number is still superscripted. I need to make that font the same as the font in the document.

Hi,
I have the endnotes in my document. They go to the bottom except the last three which go after the line that Word insert. That breaks up the endnotes. Do you have any suggestions?

Dear Allen,
I have a smalll issue.
Before the endnotes i get two empty lines. this appears on each page of endnotes and before the footnotes too. using the show formatting icon of the toolbar (Ctrl+*) i see the two empty lines markings (Phi) but i can not delete them.
How can i remove the two empty lines?
