Check Out the Collection

A little bit further down in this newsletter, you'll see notification about two new videos that I posted on YouTube. I hope you'll take a chance to go view them, particularly if you find the topic even mildly interesting.

I bring this up because if you like to learn through videos, then you'll be interested in the WordTips Videos 2024 Collection, which I announced this past Wednesday. It contains 104 videos (over 8 hours) from 2024, all on a handy USB 3.2 flash drive.

Since I just announced the collection, you can currently get it for 33% off the normal price, which is a GREAT deal. Make sure you take some time to check it out here:

https://UsingOffice.com/videos/

The special discount is only available through February 19, so it won't last forever.

I hope you enjoy the tips in this week's newsletter!

Accurately Setting Tabs Using the Ruler

If you try to set tabs by clicking on the Ruler, you may not be able to set them exactly where you want. This is normally due to a setting used for aligning graphics, but you can easily change it.

WordTips YouTube Channel

Do you like to learn visually? Make sure you check out the WordTips YouTube channel. New videos are added weekly. (I typically try to add them on Tuesdays and Thursdays.)

New video: Selecting an Entire Section
Documents can be subdivided into sections, with each of them formatted differently. If you want to select all the text in a particular section, then you can use the technique described in this Quick Tip.

New video: Resetting All Shortcut Keys
At some point you might want to wipe out all the custom shortcut keys you've created in Word. This is easy to do by following the steps described in this Quick Tip.

Special Note!

I've been publishing WordTips for years. Decades, actually. The newsletter you are reading right now is for very old versions of Word. I still publish it because I know that some people are still using very old versions of Word. Most people, however, are using newer versions of the program. If you are are using a newer version of Word (2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, 2021, or the version in Microsoft 365), then you should seriously consider changing to the version of the newsletter designed for you. You can do so by clicking this link.

Thanks for your support of WordTips, and I hope you enjoy whichever version of the newsletter you receive. If you have any questions, just let me know.
