Linda notes that when she uses Track Changes, Word keeps track of the date that each edit or change is made. She wonders if there is a way to remove the date associated with an edit.
We've been able to discover no way to do this; Word is apparently hard-coded to track the date and time of the edit. This is apparently done so that Word can know the order in which edits should be displayed when showing them on the screen.
There is one thing that you might try, but it involves updating to Word 2007. While earlier versions of Word display the edit date on the screen, Word 2007 apparently doesn't. (At least, we couldn't get the date to show up on our systems.) The program no doubt still tracks the date, but it isn't displayed.
