Quickly Displaying the Style Dialog Box

Summary: If you display the style area, you can quickly display the Style dialog box. (This tip works with Microsoft Word 6, Word 95, Word 97, Word 2000, Word 2002, and Word 2003.)

Word provides a quick and easy way to access the Style dialog box, provided you are displaying the Style area on your screen. To access the Style dialog box, simply double-click in the style area, which is displayed to the left of your document. The paragraph format name on which you double-clicked will be selected in the Style dialog box.

Tip #1254 applies to Microsoft Word versions: 6 | 95 | 97 | 2000 | 2002 | 2003

Great Idea! Word is a tool to get what you really want—printed output. This means you need to make sure that Word works as well as possible with your printer, whether it is sitting on your desk or in a room down the hall.
