Printing a Key Assignment List

Summary: Many people customize Word so that macros, styles, and various commands are assigned to specific shortcut keys. This tip explains how you can get a printout of what key assignments have been made on your system. (This tip works with Microsoft Word 97, Word 2000, Word 2002, and Word 2003.)

When you are customizing Word, you can assign certain styles, macros, and commands to different key assignments. Word allows you to print a list of what has been assigned to certain keys. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Select Print from the File menu. Word displays the Print dialog box. (Click here to see a related figure.)
  2. In the Print What box, select Key Assignments.
  3. Click on OK.

Tip #1147 applies to Microsoft Word versions: 97 | 2000 | 2002 | 2003
