Viewing Your Document Full-Screen

Summary: Want to see the absolute most of your document that you can? Then you need to become familiar with the full-screen display built into Word. (This tip works with Microsoft Word 97, Word 2000, Word 2002, and Word 2003.)

There may be times when you want to see as much of your document as possible. You can quickly maximize your document to replace virtually everything else on your screen by choosing Full Screen from the View menu. When you are done working with Word in this manner, click on the on-screen button to restore the regular Word view, or simply press the Esc key.

In addition, if you move the mouse cursor off the top of the screen when viewing your document in full-screen mode, then the menu bar appears and you can use it to manipulate your document.

Tip #1028 applies to Microsoft Word versions: 97 | 2000 | 2002 | 2003

Take Control! Master the real power behind Word! Successfully master the secrets of powerful formatting and create documents that stand out from the rest. Best of all, you can create documents that are easy to maintain and quick to change.
