Jumping to the Ends of Table Rows

Summary: Need to jump from one end of a table row to another? Word provides a couple of handy shortcuts that can make this type of navigation a snap. (This tip works with Microsoft Word 97, Word 2000, Word 2002, Word 2003, and Word 2007.)

Word provides a handy shortcut that allows you to quickly jump to either end of a table row. If you press Alt+Home, you are taken to the first cell in the row, where the insertion point is placed just before the first character of the cell. Likewise, you can jump to the last cell in a row by pressing Alt+End. This moves the insertion point to the last row, where it is positioned just before the first character in the cell.

If you try to use these shortcuts outside of a table, they have no effect.
